OLD SOLDIERS HOME

My dear friends,

   This album was dug out of the ruins of the great Hillbilly vs. Hollybilly wars. The “Major Record Deal” that got “canned” so deeply, we didn’t think it would ever see the light of day. Thank you, John Wagner, for patiently picking through the wreckage and administering C.P.R. to the”Old Soldier”. Most of this work was done in the late 70’s and I’m sorry to say I didn’t take good notes and my brain has gone the way of the walking wounded, but I’ll try to give credit to all the pickers. So, after all these years rockin', cussin', and spitin', down on the front porch at the old soldiers home, we figured we must thank the following, , Waldo Latowsky, Steve D'Coda, John Harris, Nestor Eaton, Steve Keith, John Standish, Arnold Bodmer, Corliss Nelson, Wayne Gailey,  Dave Heinz, Ivy, Robin, Debbie, Ray Esquibel....and all M.I.A’s. Thank you all, I couldn’t do it without you.

This album is dedicated to the memory of Dexter V. Shaffer, a commanding officer in the ‘Mose Brigade”, who fought the bloody lawyers and Yay-hoo know it all’s, unselfishly in my defense. A truly dedicated soul.
